Can you help?
At Meals on Wheels we are passionate about sustainability, and motivated to help change habits and drive sustainable practices. We are proud to partner with NSW EPA to help spread the word about the single use plastic bag ban in NSW effective 1st June, 2022.

Can you help us make safe, washable and reusable shopping bags to be donated to your local Meals on Wheels service? These will be distributed to clients and volunteers to use as an alternative to plastic bags.

If you have access to a sewing machine, or know somebody who does, please support this initiative and know that your sewing skills are making a difference to our cause and to the environment.

To ensure that your shopping bags go to where they are needed the most, please register your interest below. More information will be sent by email following your registration.

An easy to sew reusable bag downloadable step by step guide can be found here, however please feel free to use another pattern if you prefer. You can also watch a quick video tutorial to help get you started!
