The CHSP is an Australian Government-subsidised program that provides entry-level support services to help older people live independently and safely at home. Meals on Wheels services deliver meals under this program.

The government subsidises the cost of the service, meaning you only pay a small client contribution towards the meal. This is typically only a few dollars.

You must be assessed by My Aged Care as eligible for CHSP services. To be assessed, you must be 65 years or older (50 years or older for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander People).
