Celebrating 54 years in 2024!
Holbrook Meals On Wheels Service Inc. is a non-profit incorporated organisation that provides home delivered meals and Social Support services under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) program to frail aged people in the Holbrook, Culcairn, Walla Walla, Jindera and other Greater Hume Council areas.
Our organisation is managed by a volunteer Management Committee which meets monthly.
Day to day operations are carried out by paid staff with the assistance of our valuable volunteers.
We are supported by the Commonwealth Department of Health under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) to support frail older individuals to remain independent within the community.
Our Aim
Our aim is to assist people living in our communities to maximise their independence by
providing nutritious, quality food and range of community care services.
Our Philosophy
Holbrook Meals On Wheels Service Inc. believes in:

- The right of people to dignity, respect, privacy and confidentiality
- The right of people to be valued as individuals
- The right of people to access services on a non-discriminatory basis.
- The right of the community to receive accountable and responsive services.
Meals
- For people having difficulty maintaining a nutritious diet, we can provide a delivered meals service. There is a large menu of over 100 meals for you to choose from.
- In the Holbrook area, clients can choose to have a daily hot meal delivered 6 days a week. Or frozen meals can be delivered to your home at your convenience. Weekend meals can be delivered frozen along with Friday’s delivery.
- For clients in Culcairn, Walla Walla, Jindera and other areas of the Greater Hume Shire, frozen meals can be delivered to your home weekly, fortnightly or as you choose.
- Meals may also be collected directly from our premises by yourself or your representative if you prefer.
- We are happy to deliver to more remote rural locations within the Greater Hume Shire Council area, just give us a call.
